To mark 30 years of the William Hill Sports Book of the Year award, the newspaper recommends 30 of the best sports books ever written. The Last Amateurs by Mark de Rond, Professor of Organisational Ethnography at Cambridge Judge Business School, is featured in the list. The book is based on the time in 2006-2007 that Mark spent with the elite oarsmen of Cambridge University Boat Club during their punishing preparation for The Boat Race against Oxford.
