A study about charismatic leaders co-authored by Dr Jochen Menges, University Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at Cambridge Judge Business School, is featured in the article. According to the study, a charismatic leader “will draw all the attention and can subsequently “suppress” listeners’ own emotional reactions.” This might result in listeners not being able to recall what the presentation was about, rather just remembering that they liked the speaker.
