Poets & Quants: Business schools predict what 2020 has in store

 

Michael Kitson, Director of MBA programme, University Senior Lecturer in International Macroeconomics at Cambridge Judge Business School, shares his predictions for 2020 and believes the world economy will shift from West to East: “The global economy in the 20th century was largely dominated by the US but the dominant power in the 21st century will be China. The US entered this century as the dominant country but just like the UK in the 20th century it is a ‘diminishing giant’. We are in the early stages of transition to China as the dominant world economy.” (subs)
