Dr Lilia Giugni, Research Associate at the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation and the co-founder and CEO of GenPol, was taking part in a podcast focusing on gender issues and discussing on how to get men involved in feminist work. Dr Giugni pointed to two main considerations: the necessity to go beyond one-off training initiatives, establish synergies, and embed gender parity in organisations; and the simple and yet all-important message that there is (still) such a thing as patriarchy, and -while women and those from marginalised backgrounds are disproportionately more exposed to violence and exploitation- everyone is harmed by gendered norms and stereotypes.
