A research on commuting to work co-authored by Dr Jochen Menges, University Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at Cambridge Judge Business School, included in the FT article. The research found the daily commute is beneficial to employees as they can use that time to ‘transition’ from family to work. “Our study challenges the idea that commuting time is necessarily harmful,” says Dr Menges.
