Dr Jochen Menges, Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour at Cambridge Judge Business School, comments on the problem of burnout in the workplace. “Burnout is so central to work in the 21st century that it must be in the standard curriculum,” he says. Business schools in UK now offer fitness sessions such as yoga on the General Management and Advanced Leadership programmes. Dr Menges says the demand for these activities is growing “because of fading stigma and increasing concerns over mental health and the costs of stress.” (subs)
