Mirthy, an online platform for that provides talks by professional public speakers, has been named Runner Up at The Tech to Connect Challenge. The startup, that is currently on the Cambridge Social Ventures programme, received £75,000 cash prize. Co-founder and CEO Alex Ramamurthy says the prize will be invested in technology with the aim to reach more people: “We are hoping to be back to business as usual before the year is out. Our initial model will be even more applicable given the coming months of social distancing and the effect on older people’s feeling of loneliness and social isolation.”
