Dr Lorraine Charles, Research Associate at the Centre for Business Research, comments about travel and migration as the Henley Passport Index reveals the top countries. The index ranks all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. Dr Charles says that despite positive regional developments, migration in the Middle East is largely driven by conflicts in Syria, Libya, Iraq and other countries. “Forced displacement will most likely continue to dominate migration and mobility patterns within the Middle East,” she comments.
