Sunita Sah, KPMG Professor of Management Studies at Cambridge Judge Business School, writes about the dark side of loyalty in relation to a recent storm of the U.S. Capitol. “Loyalty is often touted as a virtue,” Sunita says. But blind loyalty “can lead to senseless violence, gangland killings, and the types of craven political machinations we’ve seen too much of in recent days. It can and has fuelled the worst movements and developments in human history.”
