David Reiner, Professor of Technology Policy at Cambridge Judge Business School, appeared on The Conversation Weekly podcast looking at what impact do innovation prizes have to climate research.
The first innovation prize was announced almost 300 years ago, says Professor Reiner. “So a prize was launched by British Parliament offering 20,000 pounds. They were trying to find a clock that would be viable on a ship.”
