Dr Khaled Soufani, Cambridge Judge Business School

Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are considered to be major contributors to gross domestic product. They provide a wide variety of goods and services to the national and international economy and are one of the most important pillars supporting the structure of our economies.

In this talk, Dr Khaled Soufani will argue that the role of SMEs in achieving economic growth, creating jobs, and generating innovative ideas is essential to overall economic prosperity following the impact of the 2007 global financial crisis.

Speaker bio

Dr Khaled Soufani is Senior Teaching Faculty in Finance and Director of the Executive MBA Programme at Cambridge Judge Business School. Khal has published extensively in the area of financial management, corporate restructuring, M&A, private equity, venture capital and family business, and also the financial and economic affairs of small-medium sized enterprises. His work is widely cited and included in policy reports by organisations such as the EU, OECD, and the Institute of Directors and he is on the editorial board of a number of international academic journals. Before joining academia, Khal worked in investment banking in the area of bond and money market trading.
