Please join us for a talk by distinguished Oxbridge alumni, Professor Dennis Lo. This will include a tour of the pathology lab at 14:00, followed by a networking drinks from 16:30 onwards.
Professor Dennis Lo is one of the world’s pre-eminent scientists in the field of plasma nucleic acids and genomics. He discovered foetal DNA in maternal plasma, developed non-invasive prenatal testing, and made major contributions to other types of liquid biopsies for cancer detection. Professor Lo was awarded the Royal Medal 2021 by the Royal Society of London. He is the first Chinese scientist to receive the Royal Medal for contributions to the advancement of ‘Natural Knowledge’ in the biological sciences category since its establishment 200 years ago.
