Professor Jason Shaw, Nanyang Business School 

Jason Shaw will be hosting a workshop on how to publish in top-tier journals. This will focus on understanding the nuances of publishing in top-tier journals and will be of interest to all PhDs. Jason is Editor-in-Chief of the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ); this is a rare opportunity to hear from Jason on the craft of publishing and to ask questions.

Speaker bio

Professor Jason D. Shaw is the Shaw Foundation Chair in Business at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of the Academy of Management Journal. His research on turnover, employment relationships, incentives, social networks and other topics appears in leading journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Personnel Psychology, among other outlets. His work also appears in leading practitioner-oriented publications such as Harvard Business Review, Compensation and Benefits Review, and WorldatWork Journal. Jason’s 2017 coauthored paper won the “best article” award for the Academy of Management Journal. He received his PhD from the University of Arkansas in 1997. Prior to joining NTU, he held endowed positions at the University of Minnesota, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the University of Kentucky, was an assistant professor at Drexel University; and was an analyst for Boeing.
