Are you interested in disrupting the future of women’s health?

Are you looking for new and provocative ideas for innovations that will challenge your thinking frameworks? Do you have an existing idea or research project and are looking for validation that it can create not just a plausible future for women’s health but a preferred future?

Or perhaps you are looking for a new type of entrepreneurial training that will challenge your thinking, generate new insights and open up new thought processes?

The Entrepreneurship Centre in partnership with the Cambridge Femtech Society is running a brand-new venture creation day designed to give you practical experience of working to envision and design a preferred or ideal future for women’s health.

During a highly interactive and practical team-based event, you will learn to work with design thinking inspired methodologies to push your imagination to extremes in order to identify the disruptive innovations we want and need to create a preferred future for women’s health. We will be looking for proactive possibilities across great technology, communities, social trends, and practices and will draw insights from how these areas may interconnect in the future.

There will be a strong focus on how to plan for action, designing the innovations and ventures needed to create the preferred future you have imagined. Each team will work on creating and exploring an idea that is grounded in this future and will identify the present-day actions needed to translate their vision into reality.

“The future exists first in imagination, then in will, then in reality.”
– Barbara Marx Hubbard

About the Cambridge Femtech Society

Cambridge Femtech Society.
Founded in May 2021, the Cambridge Femtech Society’s mission is to tackle some of the systemic challenges within women’s health by increasing awareness and engagement in femtech and the broader space of female health at the university-level. The Society is built around three main pillars:

  1. Promoting knowledge-sharing in women’s health and femtech
  2. Encouraging entrepreneurship and research by facilitating partnerships between industry and academia
  3. Creating a global femtech network for university-affiliates (students, researchers, faculty and academics)

The Cambridge Femtech Society was born as the first femtech society at a European university. The Society believes that by identifying and understanding the root causes of the large unmet needs in women’s health, students and researchers can start to think creatively about new solutions. To this end, the Society regularly organises events and conferences where students have the opportunity to meet key opinion leaders – entrepreneurs, researchers, corporates, investors – operating in femtech. Likewise, we provide femtech companies and investors with the chance to address Cambridge students and researchers who are interested in starting a career in femtech or bringing their femtech ideas to life.
