Dr Thomas Roulet, Cambridge Judge Business School

The generalised shift to remote work due to the COVID pandemic, and the progressive elaboration of hybrid mode of working, has had strong impact on the way we interact with co-workers, manage and lead organisations. Teams are distributed across locations, workers are disconnected, organisational culture is diluting itself, and we struggle “to take the pulse” of our co-workers.

Unpacking the consequences of this new mode of work requires to think about the implications of collaborating virtually, from an interaction and from a psychological point of view. This new situation requires additional efforts from managers. Finally, as we consider how to move forward with the hybrid organisation of the office, we need to think about how those challenges in remote working impact the way we think and refine our model of work and collaboration.

In this webinar, Dr Roulet will first explore how our work pattern changed, and the managerial challenges associated with this situation and what leaders can do to deal with remote and hybrid teams, ultimately looking at how it informs the transition to hybrid work.
