Thanks to a generous donation by our MFin alumni, we’re delighted to launch a new scholarship aimed at supporting women working in finance.
The Cambridge Judge Business School is committed to increasing the representation of women in finance. We will offer two awards of USD $15,000 each to outstanding female students joining the Cambridge MFin in September 2022.
The scholarships will be offered to exceptional female candidates with an excellent academic record, and a priority will be given to nationals from developing economies around the world. Recipients will also have the benefit of mentoring by some of our MFin alumni (the details of this will be confirmed with the student at a later date).
Do I qualify for the MFin Alumni Women in Finance Scholarship?
The scholarship is open to women applying to the Cambridge MFin programme starting in September 2022. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A First Class degree or GPA of 3.7, or equivalent (if you studied your undergraduate degree overseas, you can check whether you meet the University’s minimum requirement).
- Resident in an economically developing country.
- Hold an offer of admission for the 2022/23 class.
- Be able to demonstrate that they can cover the remaining fees.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to helping women achieve their career potential in finance.
The recipients of this scholarship will also act as ambassadors for the MFin, working closely with the programme teams to support and attract future candidates onto the programme.
Applying
Once you have accepted your place on the Cambridge MFin, please inform your Admissions Coordinator that you would like to apply for the MFin Alumni Women in Finance Scholarship.
You will need to submit a 300-word essay addressing the following question: ‘After completing the MFin programme, how do you plan to use your skills and knowledge to contribute and further the role of women in the finance industry?’
