Cambridge is an ancient university city, steeped in tradition and rich in heritage. Set on the River Cam, with many of the University Colleges backing onto gardens along the river, the City is renowned for its beautiful historic and contemporary architecture.
This includes buildings designed by George Gillbert Scott, Sir Christopher Wren and Norman Foster, amongst many other famous names. Cambridge is within easy reach of all London’s international airports and less than an hour away from London by train.
As a Cambridge Executive MBA student, you will join one of the University Colleges and choose the extent to which you wish to participate in its social and recreational activities. Former EMBA participants have joined in the ancient traditions of Cambridge, including May Balls and the annual Boat Race.
Cambridge is always a good place to relax and unwind. Whether your interests encompass:
Connect and share ideas
As a Cambridge Executive MBA student, you can connect with the entrepreneurial ecosystem through the Entrepreneurship Centre as well as through consulting projects, seminars, networking sessions and access to events like Enterprise Tuesdays.
You can also connect with programmes such as Accelerate Cambridge, a startup accelerator established by Cambridge Judge Business School, providing mentors and coaches to ventures at an early stage of growth.
Startups involved with Accelerate Cambridge pitch their business ideas to the class and receive feedback, and participants can take away ideas for business models which they can apply within their own organisations.
The University itself organises a number of business networking events. A full list of talks organised by the University can be viewed on their website.
Outside of the University you can attend events organised by Cambridge Network, an organisation bringing together academia and industry from the high technology cluster. You’ll meet business angels and innovative thinkers at these events and can share your own ideas and business dilemmas.
