Brand management
I am a Director of Global Brand Experience at Ericsson, with a wealth of global brand, marketing and communication experience. Having spent 16 years in the industry, I have built a strong track record in building strong brands, driving change management and increasing profitability, working with global companies like J.P. Morgan, Pfizer, and Pernod Ricard.
My management experience over the past ten years has given me a more mature understanding about the responsibility of leadership, as well as more confidence in my ability to become a future global business leader. However, to fulfill my future objectives, I wanted to acquire the best academic tools available and combine them with the substantial business experience that I have.
A global understanding of business
The Cambridge Executive MBA programme is giving me the global understanding of business and strategic focus required to prepare for the road ahead. It complements my corporate background, whilst enhancing my understanding of fields that I lack experience such as corporate finance and management science.
My previous position as Global Brand Director at J.P. Morgan, as well as my current position at Ericsson, have supplied me with business experiences across Asia, South-America, North America and Europe and have given me a deeper appreciation for a variety of cultures and values. The strong and diverse international ties of the University, as well as the International Business Study Trip that we will look forward to on the programme, would enhance this experience of mine with a greater understanding of cultural values and responses to globalisation.
From a personal perspective, a key differentiator of Cambridge’s EMBA programme was that its classes would represent almost every industry sector or profession, from aerospace to the public sector. Having as diverse a range of people in my class would give me the diverse and dynamic class body that I was looking for in a programme.
The Executive MBA will fit my circumstances and career goals, as I appreciate the programme’s diversity, efficiency and pace of delivery.
