International Business is one of the core courses on the programme, and this takes place in the form of the International Business Study Trip, with all lectures for the course delivered during the trip.
The course covers internationalisation strategies including why and how firms internationalise. The class meets local business leaders and government officials, and visits leading domestic and international organisations to understand at first hand the varied responses to globalisation.
The trip lasts for a week and the location is carefully selected based on current economic situations around the world and also the relevance of the location to the current Executive MBA class. Participants can decide which topics they want to focus on and the type of organisation they wish to visit, to ensure the trip is relevant to everyone. The most recent trip saw the EMBA 2016 class visit San Francisco, California, whilst past EMBA classes have visited Brazil, Argentina and China.
All accommodation, meals and internal flights are covered in the tuition fees. Participants are only responsible for the flights to and from the trip.
