I hope the Cambridge MBA will help me develop my skills further in order to enable me contribute to the much needed change on the African continent.

What led you to take the Cambridge MBA?

The Cambridge MBA is a collaborative programme that attaches huge importance to teamwork. I have come to appreciate that with teamwork, every objective can be achieved, and I am confident that working with other students on the MBA will be beneficial. During my career, I have had the chance to work with individuals from various countries, and I have recorded the most innovative and outstanding results while working in very diverse teams.

Describe the biggest accomplishment in your career so far

So far, I have had a very rewarding career, mostly with BAT, and I have delivered value to the company while in several positions. While I worked for BAT in London, our marketing team developed a new approach to Portfolio rationalisation for the group. I was responsible for crystallising all our findings into a manual, which was adopted as the global standard within the BAT group.

How do you feel about being awarded your bursary?

I am very excited to have been awarded this bursary. I believe that to unlock Africa's potential, we need better leaders and individuals with stronger business acumen. The MBA will help me develop my skills further in order to enable me contribute to the much needed change on the continent.
