Studying in Cambridge offers exposure to a healthcare system very different than the one I am used to, as well as a chance to develop my understanding of different backgrounds and cultures.

What led you to take the Cambridge MBA?

As I progressed through my medical training, I began to see the inefficiencies in processes and problems that plague daily medical operations. Furthermore, the dichotomy between healthcare administrators and providers was overt. I knew by pursuing an MBA, I would be equipped to one day work to bridge this gap and would be qualified to solve the problems I encountered in practice. Studying in Cambridge offers exposure to a healthcare system very different than what I am used to, as well as a chance to develop my understanding of different backgrounds and cultures.

Describe the biggest accomplishment in your career so far

As a medical student interested in pursuing a surgical speciality, I was elected for a leadership position for our surgical interest group, SCRUBS. During this role I worked with a talented executive board to initiate a 'Surgical Writing Group' programme that served as a platform for mentorship, research experience, and publication for our members. Because of the undeniable necessity of these activities in the realm of surgical education, it was a privilege to contribute to providing them for our members, and to later present about our experience at a national conference.

How do you feel about being awarded a scholarship or bursary?

Being awarded this scholarship further affirmed that the university believed in my potential. It's an honour to be considered eligible for such a distinction amongst such a talented body of peers. Given that I have yet to enter the workforce and am self-financing my education, the financial assistance makes this pursuit of continued higher education possible for me.

Something that not many people know about you

Not many people know that I'm very passionate about nutritional education. I love learning about new theories regarding nutrition and wellness and hope to get into some informative discussions with future classmates.
