Katherine Bobroske

Katherine Bobroske

PhD Candidate

MPhil (University of Cambridge)

Biography

Katherine received her BS in Operations Research and Engineering from Cornell University. She studied decision sciences at the London School of Economics and holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge in management science and operations. Katherine is currently pursuing her PhD in healthcare operations and technology. She worked with several healthcare organisations including McKesson, Evolent Health, the NHS (at Addenbrooke's Hospital), Simprints and BRAC.

Katherine's current research uses data mining techniques to analyse medical and pharmaceutical claims data. She collaborates with clinicians to build the processing algorithms and study variations in care. Her two main streams of work focus on back pain (using semi-supervised machine learning to better understand the main patterns of care) and opioid management (studying how healthcare delivery design affects the early stages of opioid use).

Research interests

Healthcare operations; primary care; medical and pharmaceutical claims; data mining; econometrics and causal analysis; machine learning.

Katherine Bobroske is a member of the Operations & Technology Management subject group.
