Professional history
Bob Hoogendoorn is Co-owner and Director of Balmaris, a Baltisse-backed platform focused on institutionalising marina ownership across Europe while preserving the local DNA of each marina. Bob leads Balmaris’ growth strategy across the European market.
Previously, Bob co-founded and led McKinsey’s Global Yachting & Marinas Practice, co-led its Private Equity Practice in Switzerland, and was senior advisor to a leading global infrastructure fund on maritime investment opportunities.
Bob holds a graduate degree in Finance from Cambridge Judge Business School. He also received a master’s degree in Business Administration (Cum Laude) from Tilburg University, and holds an Undergraduate degree in Economics. Additionally, Bob is an investor in several companies ranging from e-mobility to real estate and hospitality.
Society and charity work
Bob currently serves on the Supervisory Board of PT Papua Diving. Papua Diving is the leading diving resort in the Raja Ampat area, West Papua, and is a pioneer in environmental and ocean conservation through its Research & Conservation arm. Bob is also an active fundraiser for several charities, by running marathons across the world.
