BACK IN PERSON IN SEPTEMBER
A glorious day at The Bradfield Centre where we held our lectures for the first EnterpriseTECH 2020-2021. Our cohort of 55 students included 47 PhD researchers and eight postdocs
EnterpriseTECH and EnterpriseTECH STAR are unique educational experiences geared towards learning about entrepreneurship. EnterpriseTECH is a team-based activity focused solely on learning, whilst EnterpriseTECH STAR is for EnterpriseTECH student alumni to start building their own businesses whilst growing personally as entrepreneurs.
We welcome applications to become a student on EnterpriseTECH from anyone anywhere, although our usual cohorts are predominantly science and engineering researchers and undergraduates. We also invite applications from inventors with real-world project proposals for student teams to work on. To be eligible for EnterpriseTECH STAR with your own concept for a new venture, you have to have completed EnterpriseTECH as a student.
In four years, over 640 students (incl. 62% PhD students, 12% postdocs) have earned Certificates of Completion from EnterpriseTECH, and 130 inventors have benefited from the work conducted by our student teams on EnterpriseTECH. We have also launched 55 EnterpriseTECH STAR entrepreneurs, many of whom have gone on to raise seed funding for their ventures.
EnterpriseTECH and EnterpriseTECH STAR are opportunities to learn about entrepreneurship in a practical way that fits around busy research-centred and academic lives. Our goal is to enable onward journeys to establish new ventures.
