Overview

The Centre for Endowment Asset Management (CEAM) is pleased to host the 2027 Consortium on Asset Management in Cambridge once again, organised in collaboration with the Financial Management Association International (FMA) and CUNEF Universidad Madrid.

The Consortium will bring together emerging researchers working in asset management and related areas of finance for a focused day of research presentations, discussion and interaction with leading academics and practitioners.

The event will be held in person at St John’s College, Cambridge, England.

Call for papers

The Consortium welcomes high-quality research in asset management and related areas of finance. Papers may address a broad range of topics, including corporate governance and voting, financial market history, traditional and alternative asset classes, mutual funds, hedge funds and responsible investing.

The Consortium is particularly aimed at researchers at an early stage of their academic careers. Priority will be given to researchers who received their doctorate within the past five years and whose paper includes at least one co-author based at a European institution.

Programme

The Consortium will feature a focused programme of approximately six research papers, with presentations followed by a discussion with designated discussants and other participants.

The programme will also provide opportunities for interaction with senior members of the finance profession and discussion of developments in asset management, academic publishing and career development.

Best Paper Prize

A monetary prize of £1,000 for the best paper will be awarded to the paper judged to make the strongest contribution to the Consortium.
The winning author will also be invited to present the paper at a future FMA European Conference.

Registration

Registration will open in January 2027.

The fee to register for the Consortium will be $60 USD. Travel expenses and accommodation are the responsibility of each registrant. Lunch and refreshments will be provided on the day of the Consortium.
