Hanzhe Xing is a PhD student in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge and is affiliated with the Energy Policy Research Group (EPRG). His doctoral research focuses on the optimisation of power systems with high shares of variable renewable energy. He also studies decarbonisation policy and carbon pricing, looking at how energy and carbon costs are transmitted through industrial value chains and international trade. Currently, he is researching future power system curtailment and how it can be used to achieve cost-efficient decarbonisation.

You are invited to join this seminar on 16 November.
