We are building an integrated system to make treatment for common benign skin lesions truly accessible outside hospitals and beyond the limits of the current private system. The NHS no longer routinely provides treatment for many benign skin lesions unless cancer is suspected or there is significant clinical need, which leaves people facing long waits, no treatment, or high private fees.
Our venture combines a next-generation, refillable cryotherapy device (in a category that has seen little innovation in a century) with AI-supported assessment software and standardised training/accreditation for non-medical providers.
We have operated an 8-year skin-lesion proof-of-concept business in Cambridge (Cambridge Contour Clinic Ltd), providing treatments for up to 1/10 of the typical private price. Its success has also enabled us to deliver around £350k in free treatments (using our own pricing) and an estimated £3.5m in savings for clients (based on industry-standard values) since 2021.
We are now productising this experience into a scalable device, software, and training ecosystem.
