EMBA graduates from Cambridge Judge win Standout Award in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers awards.
A company founded by two Cambridge Judge Executive MBA graduates that provides software tools to help clients manage their legal workflow has been awarded a Standout Award in the Technology category of the prestigious Financial Times Innovate Lawyers awards.
The start-up based in Frankfurt, Tools4Legal, was founded by Filip Corveleyn and Felix Rackwitz, and offers clients a modular solution to their routine legal requirements – saving them money that would otherwise be spent on lawyers.
Filip and Felix met during their EMBA programme, graduating in 2012, and developed the idea of workflow-based legal software tools late last year before Tools4Legal was incorporated early in 2015.
“We took the ideas away from the EMBA, trying to implement them in our current business lives,” says Filip, who like Felix previously worked in a law firm. “But we soon found out that was not going to happen. It was clear that change couldn’t come from the existing players in the market.”
