The Harry Specters chocolate business, which participated in the Cambridge Social Ventures programme, part of the Cambridge Centre of Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge Business School, has won a UK-wide distribution contract with the major supermarket chain Aldi.
Harry Specters, which supports employment for people with autism, won the contract after its story appeared in a television series, Aldi’s Next Big Thing, which is on Channel 4 in Britain.
Harry Specters founders Shaz and Mona Shah, whose son has autism, say that 80% of people with the condition find it very challenging to gain employment.
