Professional history
Disha Patel is an information technology leader at Amgen, the world’s largest independent biotechnology firm. She is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and their loved ones facing grievous illnesses. She is actively involved in the company’s recruiting, mentoring, and diversity and inclusion programs as well as with industry-specific organisations.
Disha’s life sciences experience began at Eli Lilly and Company. Her technology experience began with the United States Air Force when she was selected for a high school apprenticeship at the national level. She has lived and worked in Europe and South East Asia bringing a global perspective to her efforts. In addition, Disha has experience advising non-profit organizations and has worked with Ohio (USA) city and state leaders.
Disha received her bachelors with honours in Computer Science and Systems Analysis from Miami University (Ohio) where she was a Benjamin Harrison Scholar. She also holds certificates from Stanford University’s Center for Professional Development.
Society & charity work
Disha is dedicated to enhancing the community around her. Over time she has served on committees and organisations focused on mentoring and inspiring future generations for success, alleviating poverty, addressing global health concerns, and encouraging women in technology and business.
Most recently she has been on the Grants Committee for the Los Angeles Giving Circle, a mentor to current Cambridge Judge Business School students, a member of Miami University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science Executive Advisory Council, a member of the Strategic Council and tutor for School on Wheels, and on the leadership team for Healthcare Businesswomen Association’s Southern California Chapter.
