This event is part of CJBS Connects: Worldwide, an annual series of volunteer-organised events around the world during September.

These events offer a great opportunity for Cambridge Judge alumni to stay connected with each other and the Business School, while welcoming our newest alumni into the global community.

Speakers

Mr. Chang Sun

Mr Chang Sun served as the Chairman of TPG Greater China and is currently a Senior Advisor to TPG Global, which has USD 327 billion in assets under management as of June 2026. Prior to joining TPG, he was chairman and founder of Black Soil Group, an agricultural-focused private investment holding company. From 1995 to 2015, Mr Sun was a partner at Warburg Pincus and served as chairman of Asia Pacific for the firm and a member of the firm’s executive management group. From 1992 to 1995, Mr Sun worked as an Executive Director in the Investment Banking Division and Principal Investment Area of Goldman Sachs (Asia). He also worked at the United Nations headquarters as a professional translator.

Mr Sun holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Beijing Foreign Studies University and a joint degree of MA/MBA from the Joseph Lauder Institute of International Management and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Associate Professor Madeleine Rauch

Cambridge Judge Business School’s Associate Professor Madeleine Rauch will share her latest research on workplace boredom, based on her recent publication in Harvard Business Review. She was Poet&Quants’ Best 40-under-40 Professor in 2025. Her interests include strategising in extreme contexts and the strategy process more broadly, with research in extreme contexts and challenges faced by people both working and living in challenging environments. Professor Rauch will be joining us online.
