Professor Mauro Guillén will be stepping down as Dean of Cambridge Judge Business School at the end of June 2023, when he will return to the US to be with his family.

Under Professor Guillén’s leadership, the Business School has launched new initiatives, championed a sustainability agenda and placed equity, diversity and inclusion at the heart of the Business School.

Plans are in place for an Acting Dean, who will work with senior leadership and the Cambridge Judge community as the Business School continues to deliver on its mission to excel, while the global search for the next Dean commences.

Professor Guillén said: “The most challenging part of this decision was knowing that I would have to leave Cambridge and the exceptional community here. Cambridge Judge has something special, and I wish it continuing success.

“The interim leadership transition will ensure that the Business School continues the important work to create the best learning experience for our students and clients, anchored in the academic excellence of the University of Cambridge” added Professor Guillén.

Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge, Dr Anthony Freeling, said: “On behalf of the University I would like to warmly thank Mauro for all that he has contributed during his tenure. I wish him and his family the very best for the future.”

The recruitment of a permanent new Dean will be undertaken in conjunction with the central University over the coming year.
