My research examines the application of digital assets to financial markets, and the disruptive nature of blockchain technology upon the traditional financial market.

Professional experience

Simon is Vice Chair of the Blockchain Committee at the Australian Computer Society, and Peer Reviewer for ANU Journal of Law & Technology. He was formerly Vice President of Business Development at Vauld, Asia Lead & Head of OTC Markets at Celsius, and spent five years in New York, as Senior Business Development Director at the Australian Trade & Investment Commission, Senior Manager at Virtusa, Client Partner at Infosys. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, Royal Geographical Society, Chartered Management Institute, and the Institute of Science & Technology.

Previous appointments

Simon has worked at a Tutor and Guest Lecturer at the University of South Australia, and served on an Advisory Board Member at Carnegie Mellon University. He was formerly a Peer Reviewer for Economic Development Quarterly.
