Dmitry’s journey
I am a Canadian national and attended the MFin programme at Cambridge in 2019/20. I completed two Bachelor’s degrees, specialising in finance and management (Cum Laude) at the University of Ottawa, Canada, and I speak fluent English and Russian.
Prior to starting the MFin, I worked at a leading investment management firm in Canada, developing investment strategies for institutional clients and high-net-worth individuals. After a few years in banking, my business partner and I founded a Toronto-based healthcare technology start-up using computer vision and AI/ML technologies. After this venture, I worked at Wells Fargo & Co., managing an institutional credit/loan portfolio in their corporate banking division.
During the MFin, I interned at Wells Fargo Securities in London, working in the investment banking division. Post-MFin, I worked at a single-family office focusing on value investing strategies and equity research, and later joined a consumer technology start-up as Head of Finance and Operations. I now work at Constellation Software in the Corporate Development/M&A team, where I focus on acquiring B2B software companies.
I chose the Cambridge MFin programme to enhance my financial and professional skills, expand my network beyond North America, and be a part of one of the most respected universities in the world. My time at Cambridge was both academically and socially rewarding, helping me advance my career and forge lasting relationships with classmates, faculty, and industry professionals.
