Karen’s journey
Karen was born in England and raised on the island Sylt in Germany. She completed a BSc in Management Science from the University of Hertfordshire in 2006, and an MPhil in Management Science from Cambridge in 2007. Prior to attending the MFin, Karen was working at at the Global Investment Firm H.I.G. Capital in London.
After completing the MFin in 2010, Karen joined the London and Palo Alto-based venture capital fund DN Capital, in London, as an Associate in the European team. At DN she focused on venture and growth investments in the Internet, software and digital media space in Europe and the US.
Karen is currently the owner of KVG Consult, where she works on Tech venture and start-up advisory and support, Venture Capital advisory and collaboration and SME advisory for navigating digital change
Karen’s more recent projects include consulting and mentoring early stage entrepreneurs, and guest lecturing in Finance at the Business School of Nottingham University, China.
