Success for Cambridge Judge Business School in the annual MBA Tournament
MBA students from Cambridge Judge Business School joined hundreds of participants from business schools across Europe to take part in three sports-filled days that is the annual MBA Tournament (MBAT).
Hosted by HEC Paris, the tournament took place between 17 and 20 May, with students battling it out in a variety of activities, such as football, volleyball, badminton, rowing, cricket, salsa dancing and even tug-of-war!
The tournament is Europe’s largest annual gathering of MBA students participating in a sporting event and takes place within the grounds of HEC and surrounding areas. It gives participants the opportunity to meet peers from other top business schools, as well as build their teamwork and leadership skills.
Overall, Cambridge Judge Business School notched up a respectable total of 31 points – an improvement on last year’s 24 – and came sixth out of the 13 business schools that participated, beating INSEAD and Cranfield School of Management.
Maija Antila, MBA student and sports rep for Cambridge Judge Business School, commented:
We are very proud that we won gold in the beach volleyball and the tug-of-war, as well as coming second in the rowing, which really showed the spirit of the Cambridge MBAs! Everyone had a great weekend and we certainly made Cambridge proud … and other teams envious with our amazing spirit! Well done to everyone!”
