Chairman, Oxford Photovoltaics
Dr David Fyfe has been the Chairman of Oxford Photovoltaics since November 2013. He has extensive executive experience in the chemicals industry and more recently in the field of printed electronics, with substantial hands-on experience of mergers and acquisitions in this field, in both Europe and the US.
David is a former President and CEO of Harris Specialty Chemicals, and a former VP of Tremco. Additionally he was Chairman and CEO of Cambridge Display Technology from 2000-2010 and took it from a lab-based spin-off to NASDAQ flotation and subsequent $285m trade sale, as well as a Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Bodle Technologies.
Professional experience
David Fyfe was awarded the Institute of Physics’ Business and Innovation medal in 2009, jointly with Professor Sir Richard Friend, University of Cambridge.
David was formerly on the board of the Holst Centre, an independent research & development centre in Eindhoven. He has an MA in Natural Sciences from Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge.
