A brief overview of your previous work experience/career path up to this point
Before Cambridge, I spent over two years in financial research and transaction support, working closely with investment banks and asset managers to support transaction execution.
Why you decided to apply to Cambridge, and what attracted you to the MFin programme?
I was drawn to Cambridge for its collegiate system and culture, and the way the Business School is embedded within the wider University. The MFin programme distinguished itself through its balance of rigorous academic training and practical application.
What you are looking forward to the most about your year in Cambridge?
I’m most excited about being surrounded by students who are genuinely curious and passionate about their subjects, whether it’s finance, physics, history, or literature. Learning from that mix is one of the things I’m most looking forward to this year.
What you are hoping to achieve this year, and how it will contribute towards your post-MFin career?
This year, I want to become more confident in my judgement and more disciplined in how I approach complex challenges. As part of this, I also aim to deepen my technical foundation through coursework and projects, so I can contribute effectively in a demanding post-MFin role.
Your thoughts and feelings on being awarded an MFin scholarship
I’m deeply grateful for the scholarship and see it as both an encouragement and a responsibility to make the most of my time here.
