AI is changing how we work, how we make decisions and how we create value.

“We are meeting at a remarkable moment in history,” said Eden Yin, Associate Professor in Marketing and Founding Director of the China Management Centre at Cambridge Judge. “Artificial Intelligence has rapidly evolved from a promising technology into one of the most transformative forces shaping our economies, organisations and societies. Across every sector – from finance and healthcare to manufacturing, education, logistics and creative industries – AI is changing how we work, how we make decisions and how we create value.”
Opening remarks on how AI is transforming business and society were also delivered by Ben Shenglin, founding Dean of Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) in Haining, China, one of the Forum’s organisers.
Participation from a range of organisations
The forum on 1 July included participation from representatives from Google, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and others in the public and private sectors.
Other participants from Cambridge Judge included Shasha Lu, Associate Professor in Marketing, Mark Bloomfield, founder of Turbulence and a Fellow at Cambridge Judge and Matthew Grimes, Professor of Organisational Theory and Information Systems.
“These discussions are particularly important because we are moving beyond the phase of asking whether AI matters,” said Eden. “That question has already been answered. The challenge now is understanding how organisations can effectively deploy AI, how leaders can navigate uncertainty and how we can ensure that technological progress translates into real business and societal value.”
