Join the initiative

The Cambridge FX Initiative brings together academic researchers, policymakers, and market participants to advance independent research on foreign exchange markets.

Our work aims to deepen understanding of exchange rate dynamics, market structure, and policy issues, while ensuring that cutting-edge academic insights remain closely connected to the realities of global FX markets.

Support the initiative

Early grants have enabled us to establish the basis for this initiative, and since 2023 we have been working with our founding partner CME Group. Further backing from industry is essential to scale our research and to create a broad platform for discussion, deepening its relevance for market practice and policy.

We are now inviting additional market participants to join us in this growing research platform, bridging academic research and market practice to generate impactful insights for policymakers and practitioners alike. We aim to partner with 10–15 organisations committed to robust, independent research in FX markets.

Your support will allow us to expand our research, host key events and foster collaboration across academia and industry. It will ensure that the Cambridge FX Initiative continues to deliver quality research, connect experts globally and create actionable insights for policy and practice.
