What led you to take the Cambridge Judge Business School’s MSt in Entrepreneurship?
My decision to pursue the Cambridge MSt in Entrepreneurship is deeply rooted in a personal mission to address the employment disadvantage faced by individuals from minority ethnic and low socio-economic backgrounds. Having personally experienced and overcome these challenges first-hand, I am building Budi. Budi is a digital platform that matches students with study partners to enhance academic performance while creating professional networks proven to be essential for career success.
Cambridge provides the support of world-class faculty, peers and resources to sharpen my entrepreneurial skills and grow my venture.
How do you feel about being awarded your scholarship?
Honestly, it has been life-changing. This scholarship is more than financial support, it’s a powerful investment in social mobility and validates the value of my venture. It is also a reminder of responsibility. I represent countless deserving individuals for whom such opportunities remain out of reach. Therefore, I am honoured and inspired to use this opportunity to give back, creating pathways for others who, like me, need belief and access to succeed.
Where do you see your programme journey taking you in your future career?
The programme is providing me with the expertise to build and scale my digital platform, Budi. I have gained the necessary skills to validate my business model, build strategic partnerships and create sustainable revenue streams – all essential skills for transforming Budi from a concept into a scalable venture.
Post-programme, I envision Budi as the premier platform for students to connect with study partners, enhance academic performance and establish professional networks to unlock equal employment opportunities, irrespective of their background. I also see myself using the skills and knowledge gained from the MSt in Entrepreneurship programme to consult with other businesses on equity and inclusion strategies and to collaborate with policymakers to drive systemic change. Ultimately, my career will be rooted in expanding opportunity and hope where they are needed most.
What does Cambridge mean to you?
Cambridge, to me, is a symbol of access, excellence and transformation. Being a part of this community is both a privilege and a responsibility, one that re-inforces my commitment to inclusive entrepreneurship, ensuring that success is no longer dependent on background or privilege but on potential and support. It has given me the tools, networks and confidence to build Budi into a platform that will create similar opportunities for others to succeed. Cambridge isn’t just educating me, it is empowering me to multiply the impact of the investment made in my potential.
