EyeseaGreen, an energy-technology company that participated on both the Accelerate Cambridge and EnterpriseTECH programmes at the Entrepreneurship Centre of Cambridge Judge Business School, won the Cambridge Judge Graduate Business Award at the annual Business Weekly Awards announced on 15 September.

The award, presented at the Queens’ College ceremony by Ann Davidson, Head of the Entrepreneurship Centre, is for a venture that has benefited from engagement with the wider Cambridge ecosystem and has also given back to the local community while helping to retain graduate talent in the area.

The Eyesense platform of EyeseaGreen helps manage energy in buildings while slashing carbon emissions. The platform regulates heating, lighting, ventilation and humidity based on real-time occupancy and comfort data, and the company says the platform is now saving 25% to 35% energy across multiple Colleges at the University of Cambridge. The venture collaborates with the Department of Engineering at the University, and all manufacturing is Cambridge-based.

Founded by Dr Anna-Maria Kypraiou, Eyesea Green has also secured paid installations with many local councils and housing associations.
