Programme: Mst in Social Innovation

Sector: Consulting

Nationality: Dutch

I am happy to be part of a business school that strives to educate bright minds in an all-round way, not only offering business administration skills, but also promoting entrepreneurship and social innovation.

Tackling societal issues via an entrepreneurial approach

I am driven by the search for the best ways to tackle societal issues. As a self-employed consultant in the Netherlands, I have worked on strategies and projects to tackle social issues, improve public service, and foster innovative approaches in both private and the public domain. A small sample of my clients includes organisations such as the Dutch Home Office, the Dutch Social Economic Council and various start-up initiatives that take an entrepreneurial approach in finding solutions for societal issues.

Learning to combine critical thinking with powerful action

For me, studying social innovation gives me the theoretical frameworks to reflect on my 12-year experience as a practitioner. With the insights I gain here in Cambridge, I hope to be able to contribute even more effectively to the common good. To face the challenges in our society today, we need people that can combine critical thinking with powerful action. I am happy to be part of a business school that strives to educate bright minds in an all-round way, not only offering business administration skills, but also promoting entrepreneurship and social innovation.

On being awarded the Dean’s Scholarship

Being awarded the Dean’s Scholarship gave me the opportunity to join the Mst in Social Innovation at Cambridge Judge, an exciting new course that is tailored for critical change makers. I am honoured to have been awarded the Dean’s Scholarship, and will study hard to make the Dean proud!
