Our Alumni Reunion on Saturday 9 July started with a fantastic debate on “The Future of Business Education” chaired by Boni Sones OBE, with faculty panellists: Dr Jennifer Howard-Grenville, Professor Jaideep Prabhu and Dr Simon Taylor. As expected our alumni didn’t disappoint and brought their own questions and opinions which lead to a memorable and lively debate.
Discussions carried on over tea and cake before we took the celebrations to King’s College for a Gala Dinner for nearly 200 guests. Over Dinner, Director Christoph Loch gave an update on the School before announcing the launch of the first alumni fundraising campaign undertaken by Cambridge Judge Business School. To support this new fundraising initiative, Christoph announced that he will be allocating £150,000 from the Director’s Fund to match any alumni gift given in the next year.
We were delighted to have Shelley Gregory-Jones, MBA 2006 and Sainsbury Scholar speak about her time at Cambridge Judge and what being a recipient of a bursary meant for her and her subsequent career. The party then continued into the night with speciality house cocktails in the King’s bar.
On Sunday over 70 alumni celebrating their anniversary year (five, 10, 15 years from matriculation) attended a special brunch at the School, which was the perfect way to end another great Alumni Reunion.
