Professional history
Sonakshi works with early‑stage startups at the intersection of biotech and innovation. She is currently a consultant for a UK‑based startup, Cellcraft, working with the founders to raise series A fundraise, leading and managing the finance function, helping shape business and IP strategy, product development and market‑entry plans.
Sonakshi’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification enables her to advise founders on lean operating models, financial modelling and execution efficiency. Drawing on this multidisciplinary mix, she supports startups on strategy, fundraising readiness, and product‑market fit, particularly those bridging academic research with commercial applications. Her goal is to help founders translate complex scientific and technical ideas into scalable, impact‑driven businesses.
Sonakshi also hold a MSc in Biotechnology, and a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from University of Delhi, giving her a strong grounding in both scientific domains and business fundamentals.
Society & charity work
Sonakshi is currently a mentor at the Commonwealth Investment Network, supporting climate positive startups through advising startups on business and financial model. She is also serving as a State President for the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry Financial Education Council with a mission to financially educate and empower Indian women through workshops, campaigns, grassroots outreach and thought leadership on women and money.
