Join Elda Mata for dinner in Madrid
Elda Mata, President of Societat Civil Catalana (SCC), a Civic cultural association committed to the democratic rule of law, developed her professional career as a businesswoman and manager of agricultural and tourism businesses in the province of Girona, where she lives with her family.
For 17 years she was a Red Cross volunteer, presiding for a time over the local assembly in Torroella de Montgrí. It was this social awareness that led her to SCC when she left her active professional life.
Without ties to any political party, forged in social activism, Elda Mata assumed the provincial presidency of SCC in Girona in 2019. In early 2022 she was elected president of SCC with the support of 99% of members.
