What do the pedagogical materials consist of?
We provide a range of programme materials which vary depending on the programme, and may include  pre-readings and case studies. When you participate in a Cambridge Live Online Executive Education programme, you benefit from a learning experience designed with a virtual setting in mind. Through live, synchronous sessions you will engage directly with our faculty to learn from their latest research, gain actionable takeaways, and facilitate your growth. In addition, live online discussion groups will connect you to a global group of peers.

How does the admissions process work?
For many of our Live Online programmes,  you can register by completing the online registration form. At this point you can choose to be invoiced, or to pay immediately by card.  If you wish to speak to a programme advisor regarding your suitability for a programme please do get in touch.

A few of the Live Online programmes have a more rigorous application process and require completion of an application form. Once submitted, a decision on each application will be made as soon as possible, at which point formal acceptance and the invoice for the programme fees will be sent.

How many hours per day am I expected to put in?
Most Live Online programmes run for 3 or 3.5 hrs per day. However, there are exceptions to this, and the sessions may be longer to ensure a clear and coherent learning journey. Each programme has its own agenda and all times are UK time zone (London) so please do check to ensure you can attend the full sessions on each day before registering.

You are expected to attend the full programme timetable of live sessions to receive your Certificate of Completion.

Live sessions will be run using Zoom and we will provide you with the links to access the programme. You are expected to have your webcam on during these live sessions so everyone in the virtual classroom can be seen, and you will require a microphone to contribute to discussions and break out session.

Is there work to be completed outside the live sessions?

You will be asked to complete some learning instructions before the start of the programme. Programme details will be provided around two weeks prior to the start date on the programme’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). We will provide you with login details and instructions by email.

Project work or reflections may also need to be completed between live sessions.

Any social elements such as virtual drinks are optional, and you are not required to attend as part of the programme. However, it is a nice opportunity to chat informally with peers as well as Cambridge faculty and staff.

What will be a typical class be?

Our open enrolment programmes attract a diverse and international audience and although you will not meet face to face, we try and simulate an interactive experience for discussion and debate. We cap the number of participants to 30 to enhance group and faculty interaction. You will also be split into smaller groups for some discussions to give everyone a substantial opportunity to share opinions, ask questions and offer insights from their own context.

Do I get a certificate at the end?
Upon completion of a Live Online programme, participants receive a digital Certificate of Completion and  (if requested) a postal copy of a signed Certificate of Completion.

What are the requirements to successfully complete the programme?

There is an expectation that participants should attend all the live sessions as timetabled, complete all the pre-programme work and any other activities that are asked of you during the programme. Faculty will ask you contribute to live discussion and share your reflections with the rest of the group as this leads to a rich learning experience. We may not be able to issue a Certificate of Completion if you have not been able to attend all the programme sessions.

What if I am not available to attend all the live sessions and discussion?
Peer to peer debate and faculty interaction highly enriches the learning process and creates an environment where ideas can flow and take shape. To receive your Certificate of Completion, we expect you to attend all live sessions as timetabled and contribute where possible. If you foresee any problems with your availability, please do get in touch.

To ensure the privacy of the faculty and participants, the live sessions will not be recorded, except in some circumstances for internal programme development purposes and we will inform you when we do so.

What is your cancellations policy for open programmes?
Please download our full Terms & Conditions for Self-funded Applicants or Terms & Conditions for Organisation-funded Applicants (depending on your status), which contain important information about cancellations and any fees payable. Live Online programmes are considered online programmes under our Terms and Conditions which remain unchanged save for the additional information above. See section 9 in particular, for non-residential or online programme cancellation terms.

Cancellation of programme
In the event we need to cancel or postpone the programme (because of faculty illness) then we will let you know immediately in writing and a full refund or transfer to a later session will be offered.
