Cambridge Judge Business School is delighted to be able to offer scholarships for 2012 entry to the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship through the Entrepreneurship Alumni Scholarship Fund.
This fund has been made available through the generosity of graduates of the University of Cambridge’s Advanced Diploma in Entrepreneurship, which ran from September 2009 to January 2011. These alumni wish to support entrepreneurs of the future through the programme, especially those who would otherwise be unable to fund their studies.
Dhakshinamoorthy (Dash) Balakrishnan, founder of Warisan Global and StartupMalaysia.org, a Malaysian accelerator programme aimed at inspiring scalable start-ups, said:
I began my entrepreneurial journey in my twenties. Looking back, there were deep knowledge gaps in my approach to entrepreneurship. The Cambridge programme was a life-changing experience for me as it helped me to understand the anatomy of venture creation and the true spirit of entrepreneurship. Following the pay-it-forward culture that inspires the next generation of entrepreneurs, I made this contribution so that other individuals could be transformed by this amazing programme.”
Jim Egerton, founder of Magnolia Systems, also commented:
The Cambridge programme allows budding entrepreneurs to take their idea to commercial reality. The programme fits the start-up lifestyle, allowing the product to develop while in parallel developing the entrepreneurial skills. This scholarship will assist entrepreneurs to bootstrap their business skills and their firms simultaneously.”
Scholarships of up to £3,000 may be awarded to candidates who meet specific criteria in terms of meeting or exceeding the academic requirements, demonstrating clear entrepreneurial potential and ambition; and the need for financial support.
Candidates wishing to apply for an Alumni Scholarship should send a letter of no more than 1,000 words putting forward their case for support by highlighting their entrepreneurial potential and listing their financial need. The letter should be sent to Elizabeth King, Programme & Admissions Manager for the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship at Cambridge Judge Business School, along with a full and completed application for the programme, by the application deadline of 30 April 2012.

A scholarship committee has been created to oversee the award of scholarships which will work alongside the faculty involved in admissions to the programme to ensure that those receiving scholarships meet the entry criteria for the programme.
