Cambridge MBA alumnus Dr Terence Yeo (MBA 2001) was awarded the Entrepreneurial Achievement Award at the British Council Study UK Alumni Awards 2017.

Dr Terence Yeo is a founder and CEO of Fusion Optix, founded in 2003, which specialises in LED lighting and optical technology in order to improve efficiency in the use, generation or conversion of light and optical energy. A serial entrepreneur, Terence has been involved in creation of several startups and also supported leading VC firms, including Amadeus Capital, Quester and Milcom.

The Entrepreneurial Achievement award is given to someone who is “active in initiating, or contributing to, innovative new business opportunities with strong growth prospects.” The award ceremony for the US award will take place in New York in July 2017.

Previously, Dr Neri Karra, (PhD in Management Studies 2002), was named a winner of the British Council Study UK Alumni Awards 2017 in Turkey. Neri founded a luxury leather goods business in 2000, and leather goods produced by the firm are sold in 14 countries and 27 standalone Neri Karra boutiques. The awards ceremony for Turkey took place on 24 February at British Consulate General in Istanbul.
