Craft & Community: Advancing a Human-Centric Perspective on Institutional Dynamics
Biography
Monika’s research seeks to advance a more human-centric perspective on institutional dynamics. In her research she seeks to understand how humans relate to their work, organisations, and institutions and what impact does it have on institutional processes. She is particularly interested in craft and community-related contexts and the mechanisms behind long-term institutional persistence. As part of her research, Monika studies surprising survival of a heritage craft of Koniaków lacemaking in Poland.
Prior to starting her PhD, Monika completed the MPhil in Innovation, Strategy and Organisation at Cambridge Judge Business School and BA in Business and Management at Durham University Business School.
